Old and New Objects, A Poetry Workshop

This workshop is FREE, however, registration is REQUIRED.
Sat, May 20, 2023
Greensboro Public Library Tannenbaum-Sternberger

This generative workshop will draw on Transitional Objects' practice of writing history and memory through attention to the world of things. In the workshop, we will create and discuss participants' new poetry, generated from object-based prompts. Participants are encouraged to arrive with one or two memory-steeped belongings in tow - for example, a printed photograph of a place, or a garment long kept. Participants ideally should have some previous experience with writing poetry.
