CHRYSTAL GILES is a champion for diversity and representation in children’s literature. Her debut middle grade novel, Take Back the Block, received a “starred review” from the School Library Journal and won the International Reading Association’s Social Justice Literature Award. MEGAN MAYO, an enthusiastic reader from an early age, brings 27 years of experience to her role as an educator. She has worked with students across a wide age range, from 11-year-olds to adults. Currently in her first year as a Middle School Media Specialist with Guilford County Schools, Megan is deeply passionate about championing diverse authors and their stories.
