ABOUT THE AUTHOR

CHRYSTAL GILES is a champion for diversity and representation in children’s literature. Her debut middle grade novel, Take Back the Block, received a “starred review” from the School Library Journal and won the International Reading Association’s Social Justice Literature Award. Not An Easy Win was named an American Library Association Notable Children's Book. Chrystal lives outside of Charlotte, with her husband and son. LEARN MORE
